Kitchen cutting board
This is a cutting board I made for my wife to use in the kitchen.
It is made from Australian hardwood. The square sections (end grain) and the light colour stripes are Victorian Ash while the dark strips are Red gum. The board was later finished with a satin finish food grade bench top oil.

That's a lovely cutting board, @GeoffB; I trust your wife really appreciated the work that went into it. I really like the use of end-grain, as I'm sure it looked very impressive after coating with the satin finish.

That's gorgeous! I hear end grain is better for maintaining sharp knives, not that I've tried using it
