Hi,
I need guidance with wood window frame behind my sink. Due to a lot of water contact appears to be deteriorating. Please suggest to protect this to get worse and water damage.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @jasbak. It's super to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a window frame.
The window frame itself appears to be in reasonable condition; it's the small beading where the paint has delaminated. There's nothing that can be done as a quick fix, and you'll need to scrape back and sand the beading to remove the loose paint. Once you've removed the loose paint and sanded the beading smooth with 180-grit sandpaper, you can apply an undercoat and re-coat it with enamel paint. The new paint will provide the seal needed on the timber.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
