Re: How to protect laser etching on plywood?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Tezza51. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about coating timber.

There are a few options to consider and they might depend on the finished look you want to achieve. I'd recommend you do a test, but the easiest option would likely be spraying them with a clear topcoat like Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover Satin Clear Spray Paint 340g or Boyle 400g Clear Matt Spray Sealer. The matt sealer would be the least likely to change the colour of the timber. If you wanted something shiny, you could go for White Knight 310g Crystal Clear Acrylic Clear Gloss - Gloss.

Alternatively, if you wanted something thicker, which would offer more protection, you could paint Cabot's Cabothane on with a brush or roller.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
