Re: what do I need to fix a cracked black with silver flex work top

Hi @tmth

Sorry  about your   bench top.

The best material to fix the situation is  epoxy. In  your  case  black epoxy maybe the best.

So I offer the following as a  potential solution  basically you put the epoxy into the  crack flush .

I like to get wide  sticky  clear  smooth tape maybe like the packaging tape and I would  put a  tape on top and the  aim is to get a  smooth glass like finish.

This above  process is subjective as to best results  so  just filling the crack  maybe the  best way or allow a slight bit of  glue sitting  proud  just a tiny  bit as a  find grade wet and dry sand paper 1200gt can smooth if flush  again.

Hope this  helps.

Hi @tmth,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community.

Great to see you get a prompt response from one of our most experienced members. I trust it is helpful.

Could I also please trouble you to share some photos of your benchtop so our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts can see what you are working with and share their thoughts on the repair?

Thanks,

Jason
