How to fix a chipped tile without replacing it?

Hello, can you please assist me in what kind of epoxy I'll need to fix this 1cm x 2cm chip. It may be a couple mm deep. I can't measure that part. The colour is a light cream it's not a glossy tile so not sure how to colour match either?

Hello @king1

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about repairing your tile.

If you are not yet ready to remove and replace your tile I suggest doing a temporary cosmetic repair. I recommend using PC-11 56g White Epoxy Paste or Selleys 50g Knead It Aqua Epoxy Putty. Make sure that the damage is clean and free of debris before using the putty on the damage. Your goal is to fill the chipped area with just enough putty to fill the hole. You'll want to stay close to the level of the tile so that you won't have to sand a great deal off its surface.

Once the putty cures and you've sanded it down, I suggest getting a sample pot in the colour of your floor and painting over the damaged area. If the colour you've chosen is close to the colour of your tile it should disguise the patch and make it less noticeable. When the time comes and the opportunity presents itself, I recommend removing the damaged tile and replacing it with a new one.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
