We have a gas cook top. As soon as we plug in the wire that’s meant for igniting the gas, the circuit breaker gets tripped. Any help regarding this will be much appreciated. Can we change something relatively easily by ourselves or we must call an electrician?
thanks.
Hi @uttammittal,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
Unfortunately, this is not a repair you should attempt yourself. Gas cooktops combine flammable gas and electric currents, which combined in an unsafe way can have some disastrous results.
I'd strongly suggest ceasing the use of the cooktop immediately and contacting an electrician as a matter of urgency.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
