Title says it all really - I have 1 of my 3 drawers that has trouble staying shut - I have to push it in a number of times before it stays shut.
Also it is beside the back door, and if someone slams that door - the drawer opens
Hello @Harrythamster
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's wonderful to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about kaboodle drawer runners.
Certain conditions must be present in order for the drawers to open voluntarily. The base cabinet has been installed on an angle is not square. the back of the cabinet is slightly too high. This angled installation will then affect the drawers and they will slowly come out.
The drawer runners are out of alignment. The Kaboodle drawer runner has two parts the rail which is attached to the drawer and the drawer runner body which is attached to the cabinet. If the rail has been installed on an angle this will cause the drawer to open because of the weight distribution. The angled heavy front acts like a weight causing it to roll open.
Or it could be a combination of both. In order to repair it, the base cabinet must be levelled, and the cabinet drawers must be straightened out and the drawer rails squared to the drawer itself.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
