How to fill deep scratch in kitchen countertop?

Hi there, what is the best way to fill and cover this deep scratch in our kitchen countertop? Not sure what the material is so a bit stuck with where to start!

Hello @DeeIWhy

Welcome to the Bunnings workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your benchtop.

You appear to have a stone benchtop, if so, I recommend engaging the services of a stone top repair person. Generally speaking, it's possible to fill the scratched surface with putty epoxy, but it will not be the same colour or consistency. This will make the patched area very visible. Whereas the benchtop specialist will have special tools and materials to match your benchtop finish.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric

Agree with @EricL on this @DeeIWhy It's not a cheap exercise but it can be made more costs effective if you have any other small chips or scratches on the edges or surfaces. They don't charge much more to fix these, but it helps to cover the high call out fees for this type of service. It will be the best solution to get an almost seamless repair.
