How to clean chemical stains on granite tiles?

Can anybody suggest a way to get rid of stains from a degreaser chemical mark on a tile in the kitchen?

Re: How to clean chemical stains on granite tiles

Hello @eohc_2000

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question removing stains on granite tiles.

Degreaser can sometimes leave stains on granite tiles by stripping the sealant or reacting with the stone. Once this happens further staining will occur because the sealer has been removed. Because of the nature of the damage, I suggest engaging the services of a stone repair specialist. They will have the knowledge and tools to repair your granite tile. I don't recommend using any other chemical cleaners as it might damage the granite tiles finish even further.

If you need further assistance, please let us know

Hi @eohc_2000,

Let me also extend a very warm welcome to the community.

Further to Eric's reply, feel free to share some photos of the tiles so we can see what you are working with.

How big is the area that is damaged? Might you consider replacing the damaged tiles if you can't remove the stains?
