How do I create a long floating shelf?
Hello all!
I'm keen to place a long floating shelf in my kitchen. Approximately 2.4 + meters but I can only find shelves for 1.2 m
How do I create a long shelf using the products available?

Re: How do I create a long floating shelf?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @RenovationDream. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about creating a floating shelf.
Using two 1200mm shelves butted together would be an option, but having the join might not be visually pleasing.
You could custom-make your own shelf with these Carinya 100 x 76 x 20mm Adjustable Floating Shelf Brackets and a Specrite 2200 x 600 x 26mm Timber Multi-Use Pine Panel, which you'd need to cut to the correct depth and drill out for the brackets. For the 2400mm length, you'd need to use at least four brackets.
Alternatively, if you didn't want to drill out the shelf through its thickness, you could opt for these Carinya 190 x 38 x 20mm Black Floating Shelf Brackets. They're not exactly invisible, but they're very low-profile.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
