Hi team, have read a few of the commentary around range goods. I purchased a Bellini 60cm Retractable Rangehood with the carbon filters included and had it installed. I’m worried now this is not a recirculating one as it says in the user manual “your range hood can only be operated in ducting mode”. I paid $144 for it. Is it ok not to duct this type? Thanks! Al

I've confirmed with Bellini that the Bellini 60cm Retractable Rangehood White Finish With Stainless Steel Fascia needs to be ducted for operation. This unit does not have a recirculation mode, and a ducting kit is required. The air is drawn in, cleaned by the grease filters, and directed outside. The ducting must be vented to the outside atmosphere.
It appears that the Bellini 60cm Recirculating Slide Out Rangehood White Finish With Stainless Steel Fascia would be the more suitable product if you wished not to duct the unit. Do you happen to still have the box for the unit? If so, I'd recommend you speak with the store of purchase to see if it's possible to exchange the units.
