Display cabinet upcycle

I brought this laminate display cabinet on marketplace for $80.

I transformed it by changing the handles, which I purchased from Kmart and spray painted from gold to Black.

I used British Paints prep for in one pre coat primer to paint the inside of the cabinet that was mirrored, I then painted over the pre-coat with British Paints ‘black ace’ a semi gloss enamel.

I applied three coats allowing time to dry in between, and I also painted the glass shelving as well in ‘black ace,

1.Clean the cabinet , used sugar soap.

2.buff sanded areas to be painted

3. Used blue taped to protect against paint stains

4.used prep 4 in 1 to paint mirrors

5. painted mirrors and glass shelves. X3 coats

6. Spray painted handles black & added to display cabinet.

7. Styled cabinet

Re: Display Cabinet Upcycle

Hi @LorenaDIYS

Thank you so much for sharing your display cabinet upcycling project. The black interior has certainly given it a different character. Although you still have a nice traditional exterior, the inside lends a bit of modernism to its overall look.

Again, thank you for sharing such a great upcycling project.

Eric
