1960s kitchen renovation
We revamped our old 1960’s style kitchen.
We stripped it back to bare bones and rebuilt from the existing frame.
Materials:
Tapware, sink, plasterboard and paint from Bunnings Warehouse.
Kitchen Cabinetry from Laminex.
Tiles from Ballarat Tiles.

Re: Kitchen renovation
Hello @TanyaLee
Thank you so much for sharing your kitchen renovation project. It looks fantastic, is there a hidden range hood in your wall cabinet? The tiled splashback looks great and blends in so well with your timber benchtop. Having those floating shelves on the other side is very well thought out. It would have looked too crowded if you had placed more wall cabinets at that end. Overall, a very well-balanced layout of the cabinetry.
Again, thanks for sharing an excellent kitchen renovation.

Re: Kitchen renovation
Yes there is a hidden range hood behind the cabinet.
Thanks a lot, we are very happy with our new, well functioning kitchen.

Re: 1960s kitchen renovation
Afternoon @TanyaLee
Thats a nice kitchen. I like the muted colours and also the flooring in the different states (hope you arnt sanding them back lol)
I do have a question tho, I can see one double power point along the wall where the oven is but that is all. Do you have others somewhere we cant see? (in that tall cupboard next to the fridge? There are two on that wall in the before shot I think.

Re: 1960s kitchen renovation
Hi Dave, thank you.
Haha yes the floors are the last on our ‘to do’ list.
There is one power point in the tall cupboard, the microwave is in there. And then another on the other side of the bench. 😊

Re: 1960s kitchen renovation
Love the colour of the cupboards, was that standard from Laminex or did you paint them, if painted, what's the name of it and which brand?

Hi there, yes this was a standard colour from Laminex - it’s called Green Slate.
