Re: tomatos

Hello @BismaAbbid

Your tomato plants look healthy, but if the fruit isn't growing much after a month, a few things could be at play. Since you're watering twice a day, it's possible that they are getting too much water, which can slow down fruit development. Try reducing watering slightly, ensuring the soil stays moist but not waterlogged—especially if the container has good drainage.

Charlie's Carp is a great organic fertiliser, but tomatoes also need a higher potassium boost during fruiting. Consider adding a tomato-specific fertiliser like Thrive Tomato & Herb or PowerFeed Tomato & Vegetable, which are available at Bunnings and will provide the extra potassium and phosphorus needed for fruit growth.

Another factor could be the container size. If the roots are restricted, fruit growth can slow down. If possible, check whether the roots are becoming too compact or if they might need a deeper pot.

Sunlight is also crucial—tomatoes need at least 6–8 hours of direct sun daily. If your plants aren’t getting enough sun, try repositioning them for better exposure.

Lastly, if one of the plants is an heirloom variety, they sometimes take longer to mature than hybrid types. Be patient and keep up with balanced fertilising, proper watering, and sun exposure, and you should start seeing better growth soon!

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
