Which systemic fungicide is recommended for gum trees that have teratosphaeria pseudoeucalypti?

Hi,

One of our Dwarf Yellow Bloodwood Gums (Corymbia eximia 'nana') has developed what looks like Teratosphaeria Pseudoeucalypti on all of its leaves.

Which systemic fungicide would be recommended to treat native plants?

Most of the available treatments seem to be for "ornamentals and roses".

The tree in question is quite young still. only about 1.5m in height. Planted around august last year.
Edit: We first noticed spots on the leaves around October last year.

Photos attached below.

Thanks very much!

Hello @Justin10

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Dwarf Yellow Bloodwood Gums.

There are some possible sprays you can use on your tree, but we are currently double checking with our supplier. As soon as we get more information regarding the sprays, we'll get back to you.

Thank you for your patience.

Re: Which systemic fungicide is recommended for gum trees that have teratosphaeria pseudoeucalypti?

Hello @Justin10

Thank you for your patience, I've just received a response from our plant guru @Noelle. They've recommended the Yates Anti-Rot & Fungicide as it contains phosphonate and is effective in boosting the plant's natural defences against fungal infections. It can be applied as a foliar spray or soil drench, making it environmentally friendly and safe for use on native plants. Another product is the Yates Fungus Gun, with the active myclobutanil, it is systemic and should work on your plant as well.

I also suggest practicing plant hygiene and that is to remove all the dead leaves on the tree and making sure that any leaves and debris on the ground are removed and put into the bin. This will prevent the fungus from germinating and spreading further.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.
