does any body know where i can purchase potato slips........
can rhubarb be purchased as seeds
thank you kindly
Hello @Lyndave
Thanks for sharing your question about potato slips and rhubarb seeds. The good news is that the Rhubarb seeds are available as a special order product. I suggest going to your store's special orders desk and enquiring about Yates Rhubarb Victoria. I've placed an image below to help the special orders desk identify the product. The special orders team should be able to quote you on how much the seeds are and how long it will take to get to your store.
However, the only reference to a potato slip I could find is the Sweet Potato Orange - Ipomoea batatas. They come in a few varieties so best to have a look at what's in stock at the store.
Let me call on our experienced members @Noelle and @Adam_W for their recommendations.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Generally, young sweet potato plants are available, as @EricL has outlined. "Slips" (cuttings or eye shoots) are usually obtained from either sweet potatoes that have started to shoot in the bottom of the pantry or from friends/relative who already have them growing.
Rhubarb seeds will take at least 12-18 months to form reasonable sized crowns that will produce enough leaves for you to start harvesting. Crowns are usually available to buy during winter and young plants from late winter into early spring. These should start cropping within a couple of months of planting out.
Thankyou Eric, l will go to special orders desk and enquire next timze l am in the store. I do have 3 sweet potatoes in a dark cupboard waiting for them to develope chutes, then l will plant them and see what happens
Thanks Noelle, l will see if my local store has seedlings availableq
