What to plant in wall-mounted planters?

Gday all, now I’ve finally agreed to allow the wife to hang some pots on our wall.

I’m after some suggestions on what to plant. Now we definitely like to bring some colour to the area that’s for sure. But also happy to mix in some herbs as well. We are certainly open to ideas but colour is a big factor for us putting them up.
We have installed 3 jack garden up mesh which we have multiple pots hanging from it. Each mesh has the same pots hanging from them.
There are 1 long pot, 2 pots have the size of the long one and one round pot which id say is equivalent size to the two smaller pots.
now we have them hanging under our Alfresco area, so sun will be limited.
we are located in Perth west aus.

*****Attached pic is not ours but the pot is roughly the size of our biggest pot.

cheers everyone

Re: wall mounted plant ideas

Hi @Glenn83,

For colourful plants that will thrive in the limited sunlight, I'd recommend shade-loving flowers like Impatiens or Begonias. These plants come in a variety of vibrant colours such as pink, red, and white, which should add the pop of colour you're looking for. Another great option for colour are Calibrachoas, which produce small, bright blooms that will work well in hanging pots.

If you're keen on adding some herbs to the mix, consider shade-tolerant varieties like Mint, Parsley, or even Coriander. These herbs not only add greenery but are also useful in the kitchen. Mint, in particular, can handle less sunlight and is very easy to grow. With a good combination of flowering plants and herbs, you'll have a vibrant and functional display.

Please let me know if you need more suggestions or advice on any of the plants.
