Hi,
My camellia has these things on most of its leaves. Does not seem to be affecting its floral display but am worried may damage my plant. Have tried white oil but didn’t seem to make a difference. Any advice would be appreciated a lot. Many thanks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @MD70. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Camelia pests.
You're images are a little out of focus so I can't clearly see the issue. However, I suspect it's a brown soft scale. Yates 750ml Ready To Use Scale Gun Insect Pest Killer and horticultural oils such as Eco-Organic Garden 750ml Ready To Use Eco-Oil or White oil can be used to control outbreaks. You won't see these spots disappear after application as they stick to the plant. However, with continued use, you should be able to prevent them from attaching to new growth.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
