Hello all,
I’ve posted previously about this Narrow side access area we have down the side of our house. And we want to build a raised garden bed along the fence line to cover the bottom fall out from the neighbours and also the neighbours slab.
as this is a narrow space (1.2-1.3m wide) I’m want to make the most of what we have.
generally I would use 200x50mm sleepers for the raised garden bed.
Is there a timber that is 20-30mm that would help reduce the footprint? Do we need 50mm sleepers at the back (against neighbours fence/bricks?
we are looking at making 600mm high 300mm wide of soil (would be 400mm with 50mm sleepers)
also how would this be kept in place, would you cut a sleeper to size and concrete it in as a post to join lengths together?
