Hi,

My lawn is tired and thinking of either mulch or pebbles as want to create a low maintenance garden .

Re: pebble or mulch ?

True... I might have to just rejuvenate the grass..  😀

Re: pebble or mulch ?

Good Morning @veronica50 I just seen your post about your lawn and I totally understand. Love the help and advice that's already been given. Looks like you have a huge front yard and very dry by the looks of it. As we all know , keeping and maintaining a beautiful lawn requires a lot of water and maintenance and that's perfectly fine if you are committed to doing so. I like the idea of pebbles and or mulch. I personally would do mulch instead of pebbles. Depending on how much work you want to do with it will be something you can think about. I was thinking and this is just my opinion , turning this into a Waterwise Garden - Low maintenance - Australian Native Ground Covers, very small shrubs and Grasses. All small growing , easy to look after. Bird and Wildlife attracting. Most importantly , don't over plant with too much. You can add hard landscaping like pathways to walk through the garden. Gabion Benches to sit and look at the garden. Birdbath. Small Pond. You would definitely have to dig out that old lawn , there is no escaping the part. I certainly don't want overwhelm you with too many ideas. Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you create

Re: pebble or mulch ?

Thank You so much for the ideas .. lots to think about .

Hi @veronica50,

My vote is also to rejuvenate the lawn. It is a big area and seems best suited to lawn.

Would you like one of our resident Bunnings D.I.Y. experts to share how they would go about restoring the lawn?

Jason
