Does anyone have any suggestions for how to set up a self-watering system for indoor houseplants? I was hoping that someone might be able to suggest some low tech D.I.Y. solutions for keeping plants watered if you're away from home for a couple of weeks.

I've always been a fan of using Holman Adjustable Drip Spikes. Simply cut the bottom off a plastic drink bottle or water container and attach the spike. The spike has an adjustable drip rate allowing you to control the flow of water.
