Hi guys,
i have a patch of lawn that runs along the side of my house, grass would never grow there (I assumed because of lack of sun from guttering).
Decided we would turn it into a veg garden, scattered with a few other smaller plants.
Knew it would be clay soil, but turned out to be tougher than we though, absolutely full of rocks & zero moisture.
This is about as much as hubby could dig down - about 15cm & we would fill with new soil.
Question is, will anything actually grow here given roots possibly can’t grow more than 15cm? Thanks for your help
Forget digging down @suz2704. I would strongly consider building or installing a raised garden bed for the vegies. Loads of amazing examples that have been shared on this site, starting with https://www.workshop.com.au/t5/Best-of-Workshop/Top-10-most-popular-raised-garden-beds/ba-p/30584
