My new garden bed from Bunnings, to start growing some veggies, and it needed an upgrade, so, I just made a greenhouse top for it, till the seed are ready to face the world, then it just lift off when the seedlings get bigger.
I used screws, nuts and bolts, 2 hinges clear silicone, duct tape 4 angle corner braces and Sunlite Clear Twinwall Polycarbonate Sheet
Hi @Super_D
Thank you so much for sharing that clever cover you've made for your garden bed. It's a great way to protect the seedlings from insects and the weather. That tilt open top is very convenient and makes it easy to water and inspect the young seedlings.
Again, thank you for sharing such a fantastic project.
Eric
Thanks Eric...
Afternoon @Super_D
Kicking myself! lol Man the ideas I have had to make up cold weather frames out of old windows and factoring the weight of the window and how to make sure it could be held up and sit square.... Lucky I havnt got around to it is all I can say! Love your idea! Light in weight and light in letting the light in Perfect!
Well thought through.
Dave
Thanks Dave...
I do love solving problems easy and simple.
This just sits on top of the garden bed so when they get bigger I will just take it off...
