My raised garden bed

With some timber, colour bond edging and some old tin freshly painted I whipped up some raised garden beds.

Re: My raised garden bed

Thats looking great, this is something I want to achieve it too. What sort of corrugated sheets can we go with? and How is it holding after these many years since you posted the project?

Thank you in advance.

Re: My raised garden bed

Hello @sagar857

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us.

It's wonderful that crazycrisi's raised garden project has inspired you to make your own. Let me tag @crazycrisi regarding your kind words and questions about the raised garden bed. It appears to be standard corrugated sheets with one side painted. But just to be sure we'll wait for crazycrisi's confirmation. It would be interesting to find out if the raised garden is still in good condition.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Re: My raised garden bed

The timber on the top looks a little weathered but otherwise they still look good. Thank you for asking

They still look pretty good now. Top timber is a little bit weathered. Have had lots of vegetables from them

Re: My raised garden bed

Hi @sagar857,

It appears that @crazycrisi has used corrugated iron sheets which have been painted on the outside. I'd suggest lining the inside of the bed with Builder's plastic to prevent the soil from coming in direct contact with the steel sheet as this will prevent them from rusting due to the dampness.

For the frame they appear to have used 70 x 35mm treated Pine and for the top capping 90mm treated Pine decking.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Mitchell
