When I bought my house I inherited the ugliest front yard. I took my time in getting it finished but I have finally got there. I am delighted with the end result.
Hello @WoodenGregsWood
Thank you so much for sharing your front yard renovation project. Putting those sleepers in as garden borders has really given your front yard an amazing definition. I'm a big fan of borders as it stops the turf from growing further into the plant zone. Adding the turf has made it look a million times better. Can you please tell us what kind of plants you placed in front of the windows? It's a fantastic improvement and makes the front of your house look so much friendlier.
We look forward to seeing your next project.
Eric
Great job @WoodenGregsWood!
Your hard work has definitely improved your curb appeal. I agree with @EricL about the borders, it looks good and is very functional!

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your kind comments.
I have standard roses and lavender as the taller plants. The smaller ones are salvia , cup heads, hebe's, euphorbia's and scaevola.
Cheers
Greg
I've noticed a few houses around here have built little timber "decks" like yours in front of your side gate instead of concreting or paving. It looks good, but isn't it going to have to be replaced after a few years when it starts to rot?
