How to treat infected bean plant leaves?

Hello Team,

Please refer to the pics of my beans plant, where some of the leaves look dried or infected. Would you please advise me how to resolve it and what is the issue? Thanks, Balaji.

Re: Beans Plant Leaves

Hi @balaji27

It looks like bacterial  brown spot and is common on a variety of  plants and  can be spead by water splahing on th leaves .AKA  heavy rains

I would pull off the  most effected  leaves and  treat the rest  with  Copper fungicide to try  contriol the spread.

Try water the root zone not the leaves. Clean up and dead  leaf matter on the ground.

Your beans will still produce a crop.

Re: Beans Plant Leaves

Hi @balaji27,

It's great to see you've already received a helpful response. I'd agree that removing the affected leaves would be a good option. Also, ensure the plant has adequate drainage and the soil is not staying too wet.

Let us know how you go.

Mitchell
