How to stop weeds on gravel path?

Hey team

Ive got a walkway  on the west side of my  house. fine rock crushed.

is there a pre-emergent or something you could recommend to put down to stop the weeds and winter grass before growing? Or do I have to deal with them as they come?

Re: How to stop weeds on gravel path?

Hello @amichaelmedia

Thanks for sharing your question about stopping the weeds in your gravel path. It looks like the fine crushed rock is so fine that it's enough for the weeds to anchor into. Usually weed mat is used underneath gravel or mulch to prevent weeds from from growing in between. But in this instance even if we were to put weed mat underneath, the fine consistency of the crushed rock will allow the weed to flourish.

I suggest using Yates 1L Ready To Use Nature's Way Organic Weed Killer Spray, its organic and glyphosate free. Since you don't have a large weed infestation, I believe that it will be possible to keep them under control. You could use long term chemical control, but it would be more environment friendly to use the organic weed killer.

Let me call on our experienced members @Adam_W and @Noelle for their recommendations.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
