Hello
Sorry about the silly question. I don’t have much gardening skills
May someone kindly explain to me how to effectively setup and use this Milano Respect self watering planter?
I’m planning to plant my dwarf fruit tree there, which will be left outdoors.
thank you
Hello @Ed1982
Mitchell is correct there is a rubber plug at the bottom that has to be removed so that it will let the water out. I've placed some photos below so that you can see what it looks like.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks @MitchellMc legend- I just found it . I thought it was going to be black and larger. Have taken it off. I'm assuming outside on a balcony it's better to keep it off so doesn't become too wet?
Thanks have found it, although the rubber plug on this one i purchased wasn't as obvious as yours and didn't look like that. This was on the 85 litre version
Hi @Ed1982,
I'm so glad to hear you've sorted things out.
Outside on the balcony it's definitely worth having it off. This will allow any excess water to drain so your plant's roots don't become sodden.
Let me know if you've got any further questions.
