Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Carmenssliu. It's fantastic to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about lemon tree care.
Could you let us know how often you were watering the tree before you left and if the watering was stopped during your absence? It's important to check the soil moisture as well. If the soil feels dry, it's likely that the plant has been underwatered, especially if there was no rainfall while you were away. Lemon trees are particularly sensitive to a lack of water, and the curling leaves are a common response to insufficient moisture.
To revive the tree, ensure it is watered thoroughly, but avoid over-watering, as this can also cause issues. Water the tree base deeply, allowing the soil to absorb the moisture and ensure good drainage. If the tree has been consistently dry for some time, you may need to water more frequently until the soil stabilises.
Additionally, if the tree is in a pot, check that it has proper drainage holes. Once the tree is well-watered, you may also want to consider trimming any damaged or yellowing leaves to encourage new growth. With proper care, your lemon tree should bounce back and start producing healthy foliage again.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
