How to protect your edibles from your chooks
So we let our girls free range quite often when we are home. The only thing is, they love the garden as much as we do !!
I had to put up some simple fencing - trellis and stakes , to stop them scratching and eating our edibles. It’s just a short fence and I can access the bed easily. Now we have our garden and the girls have the rest 😂

How to protect newly planted edibles from your Chooks
Protecting your newly planted edibles from your chooks is easy by using a few stakes and some chicken mesh.
I am growing a Truss Tomato and Climbing Red Spinach up the chook run fence to provide some extra shade for the hot months to come.

Nice one @mich1972. I'm sure all those who have backyard chickens will really appreciate these tips.
Many thanks for sharing.

Re: How to protect newly planted edibles from your Chooks
Good stuff @mich1972 👍
As a fellow backyard chook person, I share your concern about the chooks enjoying the garden just a bit too much. 😁
I like that plastic roll up stuff you have used as a fence.
I'll take some photos tomorrow to show what I have done here, as I free range my girls all day, but have a number of garden beds that they look at as an all you can eat buffet. 😮
