How to make a NFT hydroponics system?
I am considering building a nutrient film technique (NFT) hydroponic system. I read this project and found it to be really informative. I have a few silly questions. Hopefully, I can get some guidance.
1. To connect the water pipe, which is the most suitable PVC glue or solvent Cement that I can use? I read online that there are a lot of types of PVC glue. I am not sure which one can be used for drinkable water.
2. Are all those stormwater pipes safe for drinkable water? If not, what's the best product I can find from Bunnings?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Ricky

Re: How to make a NFT hydroponics system?
Hi @rickychan,
Sounds like a great project.
Our solvent cements, such as Protek 250ml Type N Clear PVC Cement For Non Pressure Pipes and Protek 125ml Type N Blue Cement Solvent, are safe for potable (drinking) water, so they'll be fine for your setup.
The Holman 90mm x 3m PVC Stormwater Pipe is also suitable for potable water.
Please let me know if you have further questions.
