Hi,
I’m new to gardening and need help with my young apple tree that was planted late last year. The leaves have all curled with brown patches on them. There are a few black dots very tiny and not a lot on the leaves also. what does it need?
Hello @Alysha
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about your apple tree.
From the photos that you posted, it would seem that you have insects eating your leaves. The leaf curling is sometimes caused by either a fungal infection or the tree not getting enough water. Your leaves seem fine to me as they don't have tell-tale signs of fungal infection such as a powdery deposit or uniform brown spots along the base of the leaves.
I suggest increasing your water schedule for the tree and spraying it with Eco-Organic Garden 500ml Eco-Oil Concentrate. Please observe the plant for the next few weeks and let us know if there are any changes.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Eric
