How to fill gap under Colorbond fence?

Hi

I have about a 150mm gap (different in certain areas) between the bottom of my colorbond fence which has concrete underneath. I need to enclose those gaps to keep the cane toads out (my dogs loves to hunt them). Would plastic garden edging work? I cant dig it into the concrete so I'd need to stick it to the colorbond. Would liquid nails stick this down?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: How to fill gap under Colorbond fence?

Hi @Linda13,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question

If you have a photo of the gap you can share, this will certainly help our members offer their best advice. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images, I'm happy to help if required.

Flat garden edging like this Jack Matrix 150mm x 10m Charcoal Recycled PVC Garden Edging would certainly work and liquid nails can certainly be used to attach it to the fence.

The main thing I see as an issue we'll have to solve is how to attach it at the bottom where you've indicated there is concrete.

You could attach some H4-treated timber to the concrete with masonry anchors and then attach the bottom edge of the garden edging to it, but at that point, you're likely better off just using an H4 sleeper to cover the gap.

Some photos of the gap will certainly help answer some questions, so once you've uploaded them, I'm happy to assist further.

Hey Jacob

The gaps are all different sizes so the timber wont work, I'll go with the garden edging. Thanks for your help.
