Hello everyone, Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.
I came back from WA at the end of September and found that I had a tomato already growing.
It must have self seeded, as it is a different variety of what I had planted in this spot.
It was lying along the ground and after propping up and regular feeding and watering this is the results.
I have never been able to get any ripe tomatoes before Xmas before.
I have now pruned the dry leaves off and it is loaded with fruit.
Cheers 🍻 @bergs
Hi @bergs,
What a great surprise to come back to a thriving tomato plant!
It’s amazing how resilient and opportunistic these plants can be, especially when they self-seed. The fact that you’ve managed to get near-ripe tomatoes before Christmas is a fantastic accomplishment.
Looks like you're in for a bumper harvest.
Thank you for sharing and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well.
