Farmbot - a robot that grows food for you

Farmbot is an autonomous machine that’s installed on top and around a small garden - in your backyard, on a rooftop, or inside a greenhouse. Once built, it performs nearly the entire gardening process prior to harvesting, including planting the seeds, watering each plant precisely and on a set schedule, monitoring conditions, and pulverizing pesky weeds.

Anything that helps people grow their own food has got to be a positive, even if it takes some of the fun out of it. I imagine its not for the likes of @Dale and @timjeffries and @CathM but for the average person it could end up paying for itself.
