I am planning to get a cordless Ryobi lawn mower: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-lithium-36v-5-0ah-18-brushless-lawn-mower-kit_p0088131
And I also need a drill and looking at this one: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-drill-driver-skin-only_p0096074 which is a skin only. How do I know if I can use the mower's battery for this drill? And in general how do I tell which Ryobi products will share batteries? Thanks.
Hello @AnneM46
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your hedge trimmer.
I'm sorry but the Ryobi 18volt battery only works on Ryobi products that have the One+ logo. Your 12volt appliance would have come with its own charging block. Thats what you need to use to charge up your line trimmer.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Will a 18V 4A battery work on this even though it suggest a 6a battery is required?
Thanks
Julian
Hello @julian72
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Ryobi lawn mower.
The good news is yes, the RYOBI 18V ONE+ 4.0Ah Lithium Battery will work on your Ryobi mower. The only effect of course is that it will have shorter running time if used by itself. But if you combine it with the 6.0Ah battery you'll get an extended run time.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
Can confirm - just tried it and it works perfectly !
Thank you
Further to @EricL advice on runtime, lower amperage batteries produce less energy. This is more apparent on high energy requirement tools like saws and lawn mowers. So your lawn mower may struggle in thicker/longer grass with the 4Ahr pack

Yes
Yes if it will physically fit in space. The important thing is the voltage. The Ah tells you how energy it stores. Bigger Ah usually means bigger physial size
Hi @Christine47,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
@JDE is bang on. A 5.0 amp hour 36V battery is compatible with your mower.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Thank you so much it took me 4 charges to do the back and 3 to do the front, I purchased 36V 5.0ah battery yesterday and when I checked the manual for the mower after registering my warranty it wasn't compatible in my manual, Oh how much easier and shorter my next mow will be.
