Hi. can I unscrew the regulator manifold on aeg 60L compressor to replace it as the part where the hose connection goes has broken. There is no nut on the shaft or thread showing to indicate that it can. Don’t want to cause more damage. Thanks

A two glass's of wine evening response.
It looks newish? Hopefully a receipt/warranty solution?
I am familiar with the 'rotting' die-cast aluminum fittings on air-compressors. A few years ago that same area on a WTB air-compressor (Auto One) literally disintegrated on me. My metallurgist brother and a friend in the UK who makes medical instruments put it down to poor quality casting in China.
To me the steel ends at the point indicated.
Getting that casting above that area removed may be difficult or easy - I suspect it is threaded but with a sealant on the threads. Worst scenario is is snaps off at the line shown.
Do you have the spare casting replacement from AEG?
No warranty unfortunately. I do have a spare one but it’s not aeg. Hopefully it fits. It would definitely be stronger than the original though. I guess I might just have to try and unscrew it if it does. and if it breaks I may have to retap it or something

I propose looking for a local machinist or turner/fitter in your area. You can engage their services and see if they can repair your compressor.
