I would like to install a shower recess inside a shed. I have chosen to clad the structure with bunnings blue board and would like to ask if it can be painted to provide a waterproof finish
Hello @Micha1
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about installing a shower into a shed.
Just a friendly reminder before beginning your project to check your local council's rules and regulations regarding the building and installation of a shower. There might be height and size restrictions that need to be followed. This also includes what materials to use in the shower and the rules regarding the application of water proofing.
Generally speaking, once the shower area has been lined and the floor has the proper fall, the waterproofing trades person will now apply the waterproofing to the area. The waterproofing trades person is trained and certified in the application of waterproofing. Once the waterproofing is in place it will be inspected and signed off. Once the waterproofing cures, the area can now be tiled and grouted.
