Hi!
I'm building a shed from scratch.
Most of the stud walls are up. My biggest challenge will be the roof.
I've got a 3 degree pitch and considering the Colorbond Trimdeck sheets.
1 - At what distance should I place the rafters?
2 - Should I place sheets of plywood or particleboard between the rafters and Trimdeck sheets?
Cheers
Hi @pnolave,
What brand of Colorbond Trimdeck are you using? Was it our Lysaght Trimdeck? If so, you can find details of rafter spacing and installation specifications in the product sheet. The maximum space between rafters is 1300mm or 1100mm for a single span between two rafters.
TRIMDECK profile is pierce-fixed to timber or steel supports, so it can be attached directly to your rafters. Is there a reason you'd like to install plywood or particleboard between the rafters and sheets?
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Mitchell
Thanks Mitchell,
However the link is dead.
Hi @pnolave
My apologies for the faulty link. Please allow me to make further inquiries regarding the availability of this product. In the meantime, I recommend having a look at Fielders 0.42mm BMT Classic Cream Colorbond TL-5 Steel Cladding which is a very similar looking product to the Trimdeck.
In order for me to provide you with further assistance, can you please tell me what is the closest store in your area?
As soon as I have more information, I'll get back to you.
Thank you for your patience.
Eric
Thanks Eric,

Hello @pnolave
Thank you so much for your patience, the good news is that Lysaght TrimDek is available, but must be ordered at the special orders desk. A form must be filled out as the product is sold on a per meter basis. I recommend measuring the roof area of your shed roof before going to your local store.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
