The Bunnings Workshop community can help with your home improvement projects.
If you have purchased a new Ryobi tool or battery, the first step is to create a Customer Account at ryobi.com.au/register for Australia or ryobi.co.nz/register for New Zealand.
After you have created your account, Ryobi will send you a message to confirm and validate your email address.
Once your account is validated, please log into your account and register your products. You'll need your tool and proof of purchase such as your Bunnings receipt.
Please note that Ryobi's registration and extended warranty offer are for tools-only. Batteries and chargers do not have an extended warranty.
You can still register the charger and battery online for record-keeping purposes. If you wish to register your charger or battery online and cannot find the serial number on either a sticker on the charger or battery, a tag on the cord, or an imprint on the plug, you can use ten zeros in place of your serial number for the online form. You'll be prompted to upload a copy of your Bunnings receipt as well.
However, please remember that when you register tools, it is essential to enter the correct serial number from your tool to activate the extended warranty.

i bought a 18v + one battery and fast charger kit and want to register them with ryobi for warranty, the charger doesn't have a serial number anywhere on it but it wants me to put it in to register it.
has anyone else had this issue and what did you do to register it, is it common or unusual to not have the serial number on the fast chargers.
Welcome to Workshop @horti64.

all sorted, ryobi put me on the right track, the serial number is on the plug, didn't notice it or never even thought to look for it there.
Great, thanks for letting us know @horti64. Hopefully that will assist other members in future who are also struggling to find the serial number.
Feel free to post anytime you need a hand with anything around the house or garden.

@horti64 Fantastic you got that sorted! Always great to have a second layer of warranty protection on products, though Bunnings now offer digital receipts sent to your mobile which I always recommend with powered equipment.
Makes the returns process extremely streamlined and no fuss.
I look forward to seeing what projects you are up too with the equipment!

@horti64 mentioned above that the serial number was on the plug of his battery charger. If you still can't find it, please let us know what specific product you have and we'd be happy to help.
Welcome to the community,
Jason
Agreed. Serial number not on charger or plug. Can’t register rest of the tool without it. So annoying!
Sorry about the inconvenience @happy1. Let me tag @EricL to assist you when he is back on the site on Friday.
