Garden furniture rejuvination

To rejuvinate weathered wrought iron garden furniture.

Materials

Wire brush, rust converter, new hardwood timber slats, stainless steel bolts, black spray paint, timbe oil. 

Tools

Drill, drop saw, 

Steps

Step 1

Sanded off all rust, removed old timber slats.

Step 2

Applied rust converter to wrought iron frame and spray painted with black paint.

Step 3

Attach new hardwood timber slats with stainless steel nuts & bolts and appiled timber oil.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you join us.

 

Your DIY project is fantastic! 

 

I love the old wrought iron design; it brings back good memories of a garden chair I sat on with my grandfather as a child. 

 

The new coat of paint has really brought out the beautiful craftsmanship and boy do those hardwood slats look good.

 

Did you have any photos from before? I'd love to see the before and after if it's possible.
