When we built our house we built a quadruple garage, with half of the garage designated to being the man shed/bar. It just had plain concrete floors, and we decided to start there.
I looked up many ideas and settled on faux bricks!
Concrete paint in brick red, grey and cream
Pack of large sponges - at least 4
Scissors or knife to cut sponge
Roller to roll the floor paint
Start with cleaning the concrete floor to prep for painting.
Use the roller and paint two coats of the cream paint.
Cut the sponges in the shape of a brick (helpful to use a real one to get the right size).
Do a few practice rounds on paper using the sponge in the red paint. You will have to have a few half sponges cut too for when you get to the end of a row and can’t fit in a whole ‘brick’.
Afterwards, use the grey paint on a small sponge to dab random patterns to make it look like old reclaimed bricks.
Hi @Natalya,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community! It is wonderful you have joined and thank you for sharing your awesome faux brick flooring with us. At first glance, it looks like real brick. It is such a great touch to the man shed/bar area of your big garage. Was it hard to find the perfect shade of brick red?
