Hi Jason. These crates, along with one of the blackboards I posted on here previously, are going to be used to display items for sale in a flea market stand.
The most important thing I've learned from making boxes, whether they be display crates like these or the raised veggie gardens or planter boxes, is to make sure all your wood is cut square and accurately to length. Also always check for squareness during assembly. A couple of pieces 1 or 2mm too long or out of square can have disastrous effects on appearance at the end of the job. Another tip would be when using screws close to the end or outer edge of timber, always pre drill and counter sink the holes to prevent the wood from splitting.
