An old TV unit upcycled to create a dog crate by removing glass and inserting mesh.
The project
Upcycled and repaired an old TV unit to make a stylish puppy crate for my new fur baby. Using PVA Glue and some clamps to repair the split wood in the doors.
Some new hardware/screws to fix some failing and broken joins. I removed the glass and replaced with black mesh, took the wood beading from the glass, and used some silicone to hold the mesh in place.
To finish, some cabinet locks and a new key to keep it closed when needed. Now my puppy has a stylish new bed and I no longer have an unsightly dog crate in the lounge room.

Its an idea I hadnt though of and really think it would work well.
Most important question is "Does your fur baby like it?"

I'd like to give this a go myself actually.
I think I'll have a look at the local Hospice Shop and see what TV cabinets they have. It'll be much nicer than the cage she's got right now.
