How to fix cracked shed floor concrete?

SL370580.JPGSL370582.JPGSL370583.JPGI am about to try and fix the crack in my shed floor which is about 15ft long and in a "Y" shaped split. I have

studied the approach I need to follow but am confused as to what filler would be the best to use. I am also using

my shed as the guinea pig to acquire skills before tackling my son's undercover garage as I would hate to make

a mess of the floor of his "new" home. I will be painting the both floors to add a nicer finish to the whole job as well.

Re: Cracked Shed Floor Concrete

Hello @spog777

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your cracked shed floor.

I suggest giving your concrete floor a thorough wash with a pressure washer to drive out all the dirt and debris in the cracks. Once the floor has dried off, I suggest using Earl's 1kg Concremate Expanding Cement. It can fill in large and small cracks and because it is cement based and has the same properties as the concrete on your shed floor. Which means that you won't have to worry about the filler being incompatible with concrete sealers or coatings.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: Cracked Shed Floor Concrete

Will I need to pack the crack with backing or just apply compound directly?

Hi @spog777

There is no need to pack the crack, apply the compound directly and smooth out as best as possible.
