A rose arbour with solar-powered lights, a fire-pit area with Merbau bench seats plus paving and landscape stones transformed this previously barren backyard.
We recently built our first home and our backyard was a completely bare landscape. My husband and I love to do D.I.Y. projects in our spare time. I create the ideas, he does the heavy lifting and building the structures, then I come in and add the plants and aesthetically pleasing touches.
We have a small backyard in a new housing estate, so there is little room for anything too extravagant. We have turned this blank landscape into our beautiful Tuscan-inspired garden oasis. The look was completed with many Bunnings products and plants. This project has taken us approximately ten months to complete in small stages, as we both work. We have put our weekends into our project.
Some before, progress and after photos are attached.
We have created a fire-pit area with Merbau pew seating.
We spend a lot of time out here with our two dogs and the place feels truly magical.
We extended the deck off our alfresco, and added sandstone garden beds and paths.
We built a rose arbour and hung Festoon Solar Lights to create the magical effect at night.
