Slate crazy paving was cleaned and repaired to help transform a poolside outdoor entertaining area.
The project
My old pool area had treated Pine decking which was cracked and splintered. It also had a bar which blocked off the undercover entertaining area. I knew from old photos there was slate underneath the decking. I decided to pull up the deck and restore the slate and remove the bar to open up the space.
Steps
Step 1
Pull up old deck.
Step 2
Remove bar.
Step 3
Clean slate.
Step 4
Add grass to the area the slate didn't cover (old garden bed).
Step 5
Remove old grout.
Step 6
Glue down pieces that lifted.
Step 7
Remove all debris and re-grout.
Step 8
Clean off any grout residue.
Step 9
Build table reusing materials from old bar.
Step 10
Sit back and enjoy!

Afternoon @DIYJT11
Wow! That has lifted the area like nothing else! I find it amazing how things we once thought stylish or just liked change over time. It really looks like a brand new area
Nice upgrading.
