With handy storage and featuring two planter boxes, this rustic bench seat looks great and is extremely practical.
Working with recycled pallets is fun and can be easy, depending on what project you tackle. For this project, I built a bench seat using recycled pallet timber, with hidden storage underneath the seat and a planter box on each side.
One tip for working with pallets is to make sure each plank is straight and not bowed as the majority of them can be. As I don't have a lot of power tools – a table saw or planer would make life so much easier – I do my best to check that all the planks match up, and give the pieces a real good sand back.
Good luck and give it a go.
