This D.I.Y. outdoor lounge set and coffee table is an easy and affordable project using recycled pallet timber.
It’s so rewarding to see the look on people’s faces when they realise they are sitting on furniture you’ve made using recycled pallets.
When I built this set, I was lucky enough to have an unlimited supply of pallets. I screwed two pallets together for the bottom and used another pallet for the back of each section. So a total of three pallets for every 1.2m section. The corner needed two back pieces so I used four pallets for that. I didn’t screw each section together so they are easy to rearrange and move around.

Where did you source pallets from? And where did you get cushions from
Hi @lisa_kaiwaidau, and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's great to have you here.
Most Bunnings stores will happily provide you with free pallets whenever they are available. You might find some other helpful advice in this discussion: Where to find free pallets?
Let me also tag @DIYology to see if they can tell you where those cushions came from.

Great project, did you sand much @DIYology? Also wondered where the cushions came from.
I some times look out for people throwing out their old lounges and help myself to the foam cushions you can always buy make new cases for them.
So the best place to hunt is in the wealthier areas as sometimes as lounges are near new and have high quality finishes like leather etc
The price of foam these days is terrible.
Hello @Sammywench
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your question about the outdoor lounge.
Let me tag @DIYology to make them aware of your kind words and question. If you're building something similar one option for the cushions is to use MOJO outdoor cushions. They come in various shapes and sizes so you can build your lounge to the size of these cushions.
Please make sure to post an update on your project. I'm sure our members would be keen to see what your lounge will look like.

That's a great idea @Jewelleryrescue ... I recently picked up an outdoor lounge with great cushions, just a little faded, so I should have thought of that. I'd definitely rather recycle.
Thanks @EricL for the suggestion, I like some of those cushions, however I'm on a pretty tight budget for my DIY at present. I will keep them in mind.
Very clever use of old timber pallets.
