This clever project turned the roof over an unused sandpit into an attractive and functional backyard shed.
The project
This is what I call my She Shed. It's a 3m x 3m shed that started out as a tin roof structure over an old child's sandpit.
The treated Pine logs were replaced with square timber posts. The walls are upcycled corrugated iron sheets with an old unused window.
We upcycled an old ledge and brace door, which needed some repair and paint.
The whole shed was painted Dulux Colorbond Wallaby with Surfmist for the door and black hardware. The flooring is reused concrete-grey brick papers.
All credit to my partner – he did all the heavy work. I was self-appointed site supervisor and safety officer.
